Can you answer Agent S’s question about Coffee?:

I recently purchased the turkish coffee pot and a bag of the finely ground coffee used for making it. I’m already about to run out of the coffee and I’m wondering what kind of roast I should get. The last coffee I got was actually imported from turkey. Is it necessary to use a blend of coffee that is imported from turkey or is it the way the coffee is made that makes it turkish? Any suggestions from people who know what they are talking about would be helpful.

Can you answer dreamer’s question about Coffee?:

I recently discovered the gingerbread latte and love it sooo much but, it will be phased out soon and I want to start trying something else like it. I know I don’t like the Carmel Machiatto and I am not a huge fan of Mochas.

Can you answer Rose’s question about Coffee?:

Recently I get to know many friends from Thailand. Beside culture and language barrier, I find them very friendly and warm people. But there is one thing, I really like to know what type of coffee do they love to drink?
I have tried the Singapore style using coffee powder and condensed milk , but it is not to their liking. I heard from a friend telling me they prefer 3 in-one coffee or coffee using coffee mate. Or is it that they prefer something mild and less sweet because Singapore coffee is stronger.
Can any Thai national teach me how to make coffee sutiable for their taste? Preferably the brand too. I will try to follow whatever advice given. Appreciate it very much.

How do you know when espresso is finished brewing?

Can you answer tiger lou’s question about Coffee?:

I have a stovetop espresso maker (the classic aluminum kind). How strong should the heat be when I put the pot on the stove? How do I know when the espresso has finished perking? Should all the water in the reservoir perk out, or will there be some water left?
I have another stovetop espresso maker that perks the coffee right into the cup. With that one I know it’s finished bc the coffee stops running out. But w this other pot I can’t lift the lid to check until after I turn off the gas (or should I perk it w the lid lifted?!).
My first two attempts have yielded “cowboy coffee.”
Also I’ll add that the gas and ventilation fan are both so noisy that I can’t hear the coffee perking.

Can you answer Richard’s question about Coffee?:

What does roasting do for the coffee?

I am thinking about juicing beans, to create a very strong cup of coffee, that does not have any burnt taste.

For this I believe that I should use un-roasted green coffee beans.

I have a lot of ignorance in this area though and need help and suggestions.
