First, fill your pot with about 6 cups of vinegar, and then top the pot off water. Run that through your coffee pot, and then run it through again. After this, you will want to rinse out your pot with a mild soap and water and then fill it up with water and run that through your pot again. Then rinse and do again so that you don't have any vinegar tastes left in your pot. You should be clean at this point.
