What is the best way to clean a coffee pot?

Answered By Editor

There are specific cleaners that you can buy, but there is a simple way you can do this without buying an expensive cleaner. All you need is some vinegar. First, fill your pot with about 6 cups of vinegar, and then top the pot off water. Run that through your coffee pot, and then run it through again. After this, you will want to rinse out your pot with a mild soap and water and then fill it up with water and run that through your pot again. Then rinse and do again so that you don't have any vinegar tastes left in your pot. You should be clean at this point.

Do not put the pot in the dishwasher as they tend to not rinse out well, topple over, and crack.
