5 Tips on How To Clear Clutter from Your Coffee TableBy Xu Zhenyao 1. Always Finish Your Task. The biggest contributor of clutter is uncompleted task. How many times have you seen your newspaper lying with pages flipped open your coffee table? Or your coffee cup half filled lying on your coffee table? When you start on a task, always try to finish the task before you start on another new task. If you are unable to complete your task at hand, write it down on your to-do list so that you will be reminded of it when you have spare time again. 2. Find a Home for everything. Does your magazine have a place of its own? Does your newspaper have a place it calls home? If you have any object lying on your coffee table that does not have a place of its own, throw it away! If you want to keep the object, find a home for it. Place newspapers in holder, magazine in boxes and stationary in drawers. At the end of the day, the object in your living room coffee table needs a home and they must always return home. 3. Limit your Buying Habits During certain festive seasons, we consumers are always tempted by discounted to spend big time on cheap sale items. This increases the number of items in our house and also our coffee tables. You might end up with 3 table cloth instead of 1. Before buying an item, think about your purchase. Does this item have a place in the house? Buying something just because it is on a discount does not really make much sense. You must consider what functions will the object serve at your home? Does it really end up improve the lifestyle that you have currently? If it does not, please do not purchase the item. Save the money for your retirement. 4. Outsourcing The world is mad about outsourcing in recent years. To minimize the number of items on your coffee table, focus on the things that you really need. Do not buy thing that are unnecessary. Remember only the bare necessity. You can always borrow stuffs from your neighbors or friends or relatives. You can borrow coffee table books from the library or CD from your friends. 5.
